Feijenoord Stadium, commonly called ´De Kuip´, is a football stadium in the South of Rotterdam. The Dutch football club Feyenoord plays its home games in the stadium and the Netherlands football team also plays there regularly. The stadium was designed by architect Leendert van der Vlugt, from the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt. Construction started in 1935; the opening was on March 27, 1937. De Kuip is the largest football stadium in the Netherlands after the Johan Cruijff Arena. De Kuip is also the stadium where the Dutch football team has played the most international matches.
