This artwork is made entirely from copper sheet, which gives the work a luxurious look and rich texture. The copper sheet forms the base and then we added the custom artwork. To achieve the ultimate finish, we applied a top layer of epoxy with a subtle shimmer. This finish provides a beautiful depth and a slight reflection, which makes the artwork always look slightly different in different lighting conditions. The result? A truly stunning piece of art that brings every 'space' to life.
The painting itself shows an astronaut optically holding the earth, symbolizing the connection between man and earth. This iconic image is enhanced by the impressive background: the Pillars of Creation, photographed by the James Webb Space Telescope. The images in near-infrared and mid-infrared show the majestic, explosive beauty of these clouds of gas and dust in the galaxy, which offer a breathtaking view of the universe.
